Here are just some of the health benefits of your ingredients:
Avocados may decrease your risk for diabetes, obesity and heart disease. They are loaded with healthy fats that may “lower cholesterol, keep you full and satiated and curb your cravings for fried, greasy foods.”
Onions are superstars. Compounds in onions are associated with anti-cancer properties, anti-asthmatic activity, and antibiotic effects.
Cilantro has been reported to help combat heavy metal toxicity.
Mint has one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any food. It’s been widely used for everything from seasonal allergies to the common cold to cooling irritated skin.
Limes may be antibacterial. Their benefits are many, ranging from potentially helping with smoking cessation to helping children with sickle cell anemia.
Sea salt has many benefits, both internally and externally. Unlike refined salts, the preparation of sea salt usually includes very little processing, so it retains its moisture and mineral treasure.
Cayenne is known for its immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory benefits. It is an excellent source of vitamins A, B6, C, E and K, as well as manganese and dietary fiber.
