A natural option for joint pain relief

Senior Health

One in five adults in the U.S. report having doctor-diagnosed arthritis. It’s a common problem. The pain can be anywhere from mild to severe, but either way, it’s unpleasant. So it makes sense that someone would try different medications to find some relief. But then those medications may end up causing other issues such as gastrointestinal damage. Shouldn’t there be a way to get some joint relief without the unwanted side effects?

You do have options. One of them may be Kaprex, by Metagenics.

What is Kaprex?

Kaprex is a plant-based nutritional supplement that has been effectively used for pain relief. It contains a blend of ingredients with an excellent safety profile. Its ingredients are designed to work with the body to uniquely and gently target underlying activities associated with minor pain, without interfering with healthy functioning.

Metagenics is a reputable company that has long been known to set the bar for extensive, thorough research on all their products – one of the reasons the pH health care professionals often recommend Metagenics products to clients. Kaprex clinical studies suggest a high level of predicted cardiovascular, gastric, renal and liver safety.

How does Kaprex work?

Kaprex reduces excessive formation of certain chemicals that are responsible for producing the majority of the inflammation and pain associated with arthritis and other painful conditions. When these chemicals accumulate, they increase the sensitivity in your nerve fibers to where even the slightest movement can cause significant pain. Because it takes a while for these chemicals to build up, at first there will be just a little stiffness and soreness in the joints. But the symptoms generally increase progressively to the point where any joint movement becomes extremely painful.

How does Kaprex compare to anti-inflammatory drugs (Vioxx and Celebrex)?

Kaprex has been found to be as potent as many medications, but does not appear to have the same toxic side effects. For example, every year, an estimated 16,500 arthritis patients die from gastrointestinal damage due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs are responsible for 103,000 hospitalizations per year. Long-term use of these medications can indeed produce gastrointestinal toxicity. Kaprex does not have these side effects!

In addition to avoiding damaging side effects, somel beneficial side effects have been found to be fairly common with Kaprex use.

These include:

  •          Reduction in hot flashes and night sweats, and a lowering of the inflammatory protein high-sensitivity C-reactive (hs-CRP) levels. Hs-CRP is an independent cardiovascular disease risk factor and is associated with other conditions including obesity and diabetes.
  •          Reduction in urinary levels of certain compounds (n-telopeptides) derived from bone. These compounds are routinely measured to assess a person’s rate of bone loss. The greater the amount of these compounds found in the urine, the more quickly the bones are breaking down. Inflammation does indeed spur bone loss, so it is not surprising that Kaprex should reduce bone breakdown.

Clearly, Kaprex may be a healthy alternative for you. However, always talk to a doctor before beginning any new supplement to make sure it won’t negatively impact your health.
